Currently, being a Software Developer intern at FPT Software in Ho Chi Minh City I am really receiving the desired professional training every IT intern who aims to advance his skill should attain. It is a priority of FPT Software of ensuring that trainees receive the essential training required in order to be well versed with Technology used for development tasks. FPT software has an excellent working environment. There are lots of new and challenging Technology to learn, and very talented young associates in FPT Software who are much opened and ever ready to assist. AIESEC Vietnam has been very support to interns in Vietnam and are always at the beck and call of interns making sure that the interns are having very comfortable and smooth experience. Though up and growing, I really recommend AIESEC Vietnam as amongst the best in Asia.

Coming to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam has enabled me to really explore the boundaries of my acceptance to a foreign culture. It has pushed me to understand the capabilities that all humans innately have within them; to adapt to a new lifestyle if they are prepared to open up their minds and step outside of the confines of what they already know. I was accepted as a legal intern for LCT Lawyers. I was originally tasked with some simple jobs – document, review, letter drafting, etc. However, as I gradually accumulated experience and learned more from skilled associates and partners, I became more involved in large-scale transactions and major international arbitrations. At the age of 21, it was truly an experience to be able to work in matters worth several million dollars and to be able to work with a range of accomplished leaders in their field. My time in Vietnam was supported by AIESEC HCMC’s services, and I have a lot to owe for select individuals in having assisted me in feeling at home in Vietnam. I have had the privilege of attending several Local Chapter Meetings, and it was truly a pleasure to see an LC full of spirit and dedication.

Currently I am a software developer at FPT Software in Ho Chi Minh City. FPT Software is a big and the fast-growing outsourcing company in Vietnam. At FPT Software I am still one of the very few foreigners. My colleagues are really friendly and they like to practice their English with me. There are many differences compared to working for a European company. AIESEC FTU HCMC supported me a lot before I came to Vietnam and the first weeks that I had to survive here. Before I arrived AIESEC FTU HCMC supported me with all the necessary paperwork. Also did they arrange a room for me near the center as I preferred. During the first weeks they guided me around in the city and introduced me to the Vietnamese kitchen and new people. The people in Vietnam are very friendly and helpful. I love to walk around or sit in the park in the evening with an ice-coffee or ice-milk-tea, like most young people do here in Ho Chi Minh City.
